Schindler's Ark

"Whoever saves one life, saves the world entire."

The 1982 novel,  Schindler's Ark by Thomas Kineally tells the life story of Oskar Schindler, a Nazi Party member, who turns into the unlikely hero. Oskar Schindler uses Jews to start a factory in Poland during the war. He witnesses the horrors endured by the Jews, and starts to save them. By the end of the war, Schindler has saved 1100 Jews from concentration camps all over Poland and Germany.


  In 1993 it was adapted into the highly successful movie entitled,   Schindler's List and won 7 Oscars under the direction of Steven Spielberg.

 

 

 

 

The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants

The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants by Ann Brashares is a 2001-2007 series that tell the story of four girls who acquire a pair of magical jeans that fit all four of them perfectly, even though they're all different shapes and sizes.    

 

The first book was adapted to the screen in 2005, directed by Kim Kwapis, starring Alexis Bledel, Amber Tamblyn, America Ferrera, and Blake Lively.
